1) Overview

MedExplainer is an informational tool that generates AI-based explanations of medical information provided voluntarily by users.

2) Information You Provide

  • Patient age (required for contextual explanation).
  • Optional name (not required).
  • Symptoms or medical questions entered in text form.
  • Uploaded files such as PDF/DOC and images.

3) How Processing Works

Submitted data is transmitted securely (HTTPS) to the backend for processing. The backend forwards requests to trusted third-party AI processing services to generate explanations.

We do not permanently store:

  • Medical text
  • Uploaded documents
  • Generated explanations

Temporary processing files may be created during processing and are deleted immediately after processing. The system is session-based and stateless.

4) User Consent

Before submitting any medical information for AI processing, users are asked to provide explicit consent. No text, documents, images, or medical information are transmitted for AI processing unless the user confirms consent inside the application. Users can withdraw consent at any time in the application settings.

5) Local Storage

Saved reports are stored only on your device. No cloud medical record storage is provided.

6) Tracking & Advertising

This app uses the Google AdMob SDK to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android / IDFA on iOS) to deliver personalized or non-personalized ads.

You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings:

  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable for MedExplainer

For more information about how Google collects and uses data from apps that use its services, visit Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not use any other cross-app tracking or third-party tracking technologies beyond the AdMob advertising SDK.

7) Age Restriction

The Service is intended for users aged 16+.

8) Data Protection

All data transmitted between the application and backend services is encrypted using secure HTTPS connections. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data during processing.

9) AI Processing and Third-Party Services

To generate informational explanations, the app may securely transmit information provided by users, such as text questions, age, uploaded medical documents, or images, to backend services and trusted third-party AI processing services.

These services process the information only to generate explanations requested by the user inside the app.

The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and user data is processed only to generate informational and educational explanations.
